Our topic will be - Torres Strait Islander History &amp; Culture due November 11. 
 
 
Assignment Details 
 
<ul><li>Using the set readings,ilectures, suggested resources and your discussions on the Group Discussion Board, develop a detailed power-point</li></ul>presentation and accompanying slide notes for your peers of not more than 10 slides. 
<ul><li>The presentation must explore the topic’s key elements and how they relate to your classroom practice.</li><li>You should incorporate into this topic the classroom strategies and resources you would use to create an inclusive learning environment.</li><li>You will need to indicate the target year level and subject area..</li><li>A two-page Summary must be included: giving the main points of your presentation and all references and resources.</li><li>All members of the group are required to participate in the research, discussions, preparation and facilitation</li><li>The power point presentation and activities should focus on pedagogical ideas and strategies.</li></ul> 
 
Rubrics Points We Must Address 
 
<ul><li>Incorporates knowledge from weekly lectures, readings, tutorials; demonstrating understanding, research &amp; preparation</li><li>Demonstrates incorporation of topic into teaching within the curriculum framework</li><li>Effectively uses interactive learning &amp; inclusive teaching strategies</li><li>Recognises &amp; uses culturally appropriate strategies &amp; terminology/protocols – as per Wk 1 readings &amp; unit learning</li><li>Summary sheet contains main points from the presentation &amp; a reference/ resource list</li><li>All parts of presentation to be scholarly including accurate referencing (as in Student Guidelines)</li></ul>

Hi there, thanks for setting this up. Just wondering if its suits you guys can we make a start on this and finish asap. I think we can get this over and done with pretty easy. Just know what the end of study period is like and think it might be best to get this out of the way asap. 
Let me know your thoughts and a date and time we can arrange to chat, divided and concur.

Im up for that since im doing 3 units i wwould like to get it done asap too. We can start planning on what aspects we want to address and who will do what parts. How does that sound. Once you do your part you can post all ur info under the slide tab it will go on then we can transfer it all onto a powerpoint.

Hi, Sorry I am late to get on... I couldn't work this site out. I'm not well but will strive to be on to chat tonight. I also agree that we should get this out of the way as soon as we can. I'm finding there is a lot of reading with both my units and it's a bit overwhelming. I'm trying my best to stay above water at the moment. Once I'm better I will be ready to go and into it though. Hi Jo, I got a response from Gemma. She apologies for her absence as she has been extremely ill but will post up the research she has. I told her to take her time on her part and get better first. We will have a majority of the assignment done anyways and still have a while to complete it so once she feels better she will do her part.

I have completed my slides and summary plus started on the title page and reference, I’m pretty sure I’m on the right track, however more than happy if you want to make some changes to either my work or the layout.. 
 
I have emailed it to your curtain account Krystal, sorry Gemma I don’t have your email address, Krystal would you mind forwarding it to Gemma for me. 
 
I’m heading on Holidays on Thursday and will be back next week, please let me know when you both decide on the next meeting date. No hurry just wanted to get my section done before I leave.

Sorry I have been MIA. As Krystle explained I have been terribly ill, in and out of hospital which means I am wayyyy behind in uni. I have nearly caught up but yet to start the final pieces of our assignment due tomorrow so I'm going to concentrate on that and spend my weekend catching up on what you have done with this assignment. I feel terrible that I have not yet contributed to the work. I don't want to lag off you ladies so I will work extra hard over the next week to bring in any new important information and finish my slides. Once again I am truely sorry.

Dont feel bad ypu cant help that ypu got really sick. Our assignment isnt due until november 11th so its all basically done anyways we just need your parts then we can whack it all together. So dont fret we still have plenty of time. Im glad you are feeling better and hope you catch up with all your other work :)

Hi Jo &amp; Krystle, I have finally uploaded my work. I have chosen to leave everything basic and blank becuase I wasn't sure who's design we were taking on and I didn't want to add another one to the mix. I've done some editing and tried to add more info although it is hard to get much more new stuff with only four references to get info from for the assignment. I hope you are all well.

Hey there thanks for your upload Ive quickly added everyones work together into one and tweaked a dew slides. feel free to edit and change. The referencing just needs to be fixed through out and the images.

I think we all submit it in our drop boxes then one person emails the tutor with our submission. I will have to double check this though but i know we all defanantly have to submit the same thing into our drop boxes.
